You can buy Paul Allen's megayacht & # 39; Octopus & # 39; for $ 325 million
A mega yacht owned by the late billionaire Paul Allen is for sale with a mega price to match.
Octopus, the 414-foot superyacht which is one of the world's largest, is listed for $ 325 million. Allen, who died in October at the age of 65, surrendered the vessel in 2003, and over the years Microsoft co-founder was known to use it for everything from A-list parties to marine research expeditions.
Anyone hoping to jump on board as a new owner will certainly be very rich – a story in Seattle PI said the price tag is four times what billionaire Allen paid for the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers in 1[ads1]988. According to the listing with Burgess Yachts, Octopus has accommodation for up to 26 guests in 13 cabins, and 63 crews in 30 cabins. But that's not all. Squid can also boast:
- Eight decks, including a dedicated owner's deck with private elevator.
- Full deck for entertainment – including cinema, gym, spa, observation lounge and basketball court on the deck below.
- Underground glass bottom observation lounge.
- Bridge deck pool and pizza oven.
- Storage for seven tenders, two helicopters, two submersible cars and a large SUV.
- Two helipads.
- Diving center and hyperbaric chamber.
