HOBOKEN, NJ – Like many professional makeup artists, Christina Milano is a regular customer of Sephora, reports WPIX.
In the past year alone, she has spent more than $ 5,000 on the beauty retailer's website.
However, a recent order left her paralyzed.
In addition to the foundation, Milan received a critical surprise.
"So I end up looking through it and I find a dollar bill and it's really good," she explained. "And there's a straw too, and inside was cocaine."
While no drug test was conducted, Milan says she is confident it was cocaine based on its structure and appearance.
"To receive medication in the email that is very illegal, I could have had trouble with it," she said.
What appeared to be a company ID for a Sephora worker was also stuffed inside the package, which originates from the company's distribution center in Maryland.
After contacting Sephora, a customer service member apologized, $ 100 in online credit, and even served advice.
"Flush foreign bodies down the toilet," the customer service representative told Milan via email, she said.
"I felt they should call me over the phone – which is a little more personal than just an email."
Milan who have kept the evidence is still trying to make sense of the makeup mix. She thinks it was a prank that went too far.
In a statement, a spokesman for Sephora said that the company was "investigating the matter and taking appropriate action. Sephora is proud of our supply and supply chain experiences and has a zero tolerance policy on illegal substances in the workplace. "
Despite the circumstances, Milan is not bitter.
" I would still love a more personal apology from them, but really I would still act on Sephora. I love them. "
