A woman has been remanded in custody after an hour-long break at a McDonald’s restaurant in Orlando

A woman has been remanded in custody after a nearly six-hour break at a McDonald’s in Orlando. Deputies responded to an armed robbery at McDonald’s on the South Orange Blossom Trail near Holden Avenue at 10:35 p.m. Saturday. They say the woman, who the sheriff’s office says is in her 30s, fired a gun from inside the restaurant and made threatening statements. Deputies returned the fire. No one was injured. All employees and customers got out safely. The woman surrendered around 04.45 and was taken into custody. The three representatives involved have now been paid administrative leave as an investigation is underway.
