Federal game regulators accuse the St. Croix Chippewa tribal leaders of poker at least $ 1
The National Indian Gaming Commission's breach agreement this month states that St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake issued 275 payouts to seven tribal members totaling $ 562,246 from 2015 to 2017.
Journal Sentinel reports Friday that the commission shows a total of 527 violations of federal and tribal ordinances.
Regulators say some of the funds were spent on trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas. The supervisory authorities say in some cases the only description and documentation for the payment of the funds were the words "travel" or "consulting costs."
Fines for the alleged violations could exceed $ 27 million. The trunk can appeal to the findings.
