One of America’s unofficial favorite holidays is back – it’s time for Black Friday shopping.
Although many retailers have announced Black Friday deals throughout November—in person or online—for some, nothing beats the excitement of hitting the mall or the stores just hours after a Thanksgiving dinner.
But in recent years, retailers have stepped back from opening their doors in the evening or late on Thanksgiving, giving employees a chance to enjoy the holiday with friends and family. Now most companies open early Friday morning.
Nevertheless, it is expected to be a record year for weekend trade; an estimated 1[ads1]66.3 million people plan to shop from Thanksgiving Day to Cyber Monday, of which 114.9 million plan to shop on Black Friday, the National Retail Federation projects.
