What changed in the EV industry in September and October?

It has been a while since I wrote a "What changed in the EV industry …?" The article, so I roll now for three months with news as we approach the end of November.
Below you will find an overview of the remarkable September and October electric vehicle news.
September
Tesla Stuff
Tesla Model 3 became the fifth best-selling car in the United States and the fourth best-selling car.
Due to a high average selling price, it also meant that Model 3 has been the best-selling car in the US when it comes to revenue month after month since August.
Tesla also began outselling all other luxury car dealers in the United States, which detects market shares in key categories.
Model S continued to outsell (with great margin) its major luxury car competitors in States.
In total, Tesla broke some previous EV sales item with 83,500 shares iveries in Q3 2018.
Tesla increased its registered capital to Shanghai Gigafactory to $ 681 million.
Tesla took Model 3 to the Paris Motor Show.
We found that a UBS report on the Tesla Model 3 cost was very pessimistic and based on illogical assumptions. We also emphasized that UBS had a long history of wrong pessimism at Tesla.
Tesla announced plans to have own body shops.
Tesla took 3 new Grohmann machines online to reach a production rate of 8,000 battery packs per week, backed by Panasonic's statements that it and Tesla hit battery production.
One year of income from Teslas Big Battery in Australia generated enough revenue to cover about one third of the battery charge.
Tesla Shuttle expanded into Florida with new routes in Southwest Florida (Tampa, St. Petersburg, etc.). A couple of weeks later, it expanded in the United States northeast.
At the end of a long interview on Joe Rogan's podcast, Elon Musk said, "Love is the answer." In fact it is.

In September as a whole, among the 22 major media departments we track, 563 negative Tesla headlines were published and only 122 positive Tesla headlines were published.

Volvo Cars and Baidu joined forces to produce full electric and autonomous cars together.
Volkswagen's Managing Director told VW leaders (in different words): " Hello, you have to start driving electrically ."
Volkswagen also announced an intention to produce 10 million vehicles on its MEB platform and that the ID comes with 3 different battery sizes and starts at a price below $ 30,000.
Volkswagen also announced plans for 16 new electric car systems, one of which is scheduled for North America.
The Group PSA announced that 15 new models would be electrified.
The first Blue Bird's electric school bus was delivered to North America.
Lightning Systems introduced an all-electric Ford E-450 cutaway & shuttle bus.
Ambev brewery in Brazil ordered 1,600 VW electric trucks.
BYD went into autonomous vehicles with a special edition Qin Pro.
Mercedes-Benz Vans introduced the autonomous URBANETIC Flexible Mobility Concept.
MAN introduced a 26-ton electric truck based on TGM.
2019 BMW I3 specifications were revealed, indicating 153 miles of range for the updated model.
Chrysler announced that the portals electrical minivan will be manufactured in 2020.
New Flyer took advantage of Canada's largest electrical bus booking in history and won a contract to provide 40 electric buses to Montreal and Laval.
Henrik Fisker discussed plans for a $ 40,000 EV with long range and superfast charging. The company also plans to have a fully autonomous shuttle bus in service in the United States in 2019.
China launched a new electric car sales post in August (reported in September), then launched a major sales record in September.
Norway also set a new global record and achieved 45-48% electric car market share in September.

ChargePoint announced that it plans to have 2.5 million EV charging stations within the next 7 years.
Lucid Motors chose Electrify America
Audi, Amazon, Electrify America, and Arcadia Power joined an EV loading co-operation.
Batteries
LG Chem increased its 2020 battery production target for 29% from 70 GWh to 90 GWh.
EV Volumer showed how the EV battery has changed in recent years.
Other EV Stuff
Honda invested $ 2.75 billion in Cruise Automation. 19659005] Kreisel Electric introduced an automated 2-stage electric car transfer.
NIO, an EV launch from China, had an initial public offering (IPO).
Saudi Arabia invested $ 1 billion in California EV startup Lucid Motors.
Proterra completed a $ 155 million financing round, led by Daimler and Tao Capital.
May Mobility, a Michigan-based low-speed autonomous shuttle service operator, added two new routes in Columbus and Grand Rapids, Michigan. 19659005] A 10-year extension to the US EV tax credit was introduced in Congress.
October
Of course, the biggest EV news in October we launched our new EV driver report, Electric Car Drivers: Requirements, Desires and Dreams . All other EV news is peeled in comparison. Tesla Model 3 was scored the safest vehicle ever tested by NHTSA – by far Model S was # 2 and Model X # 3.
Tesla introduced Model 3 Mid Range.
Tesla released version 9.0 of its car software. (Paul Fosse also published his own impression of the update.)
Perhaps the most remarkable part of the software update was the addition of "Full 360 Degree View" for Autopilot.
Shortly after rolling Tesla Drive on Navigation for those with improved autopilot.
Tesla expanded its referral program, massively.
Tesla Model 3 engine and gearbox survived 1 million miles of testing.
Tesla opened its subdirectory and vehicle charts for the public.
It was reported that Tesla was speeding up its Shanghai Gigafactory because of Trump's trade war with China. The company also paved the way for construction work at the factory and purchased a total of ~ 1300 hectares of land in the Shanghai Lingang Equipment Industrial Zone for its Gigafactory 3.
It was also revealed that Shanghai Gigafactory would produce Model 3 and Model Y to start.
The city of Taipei, Taiwan and Tesla agreed to "establish a new hectare of 1.5 hectares to help local startups find and get training for new energy companies in the city."
The Tesla effect "began to beat CNBC airwaves.
A large multi-year Tesla card reader switched and became a Tesla long … with reference to 4 CleanTechnica Tesla sales cards in the process. The surprising feature seemed to result in a growth $ 1.11 billion in the Tesla stock the following day.

Volkswagen started building its first full electric car factory, just outside of Shanghai in China.
Volkswagen & Ford agreed to start collaborating on electric and autonomous cars.
Volkswagen Group, Mobileye & Champion Motors "announced plans to commercialize Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) with self-propelled vehicles in Israel."
WM Motor, a Chinese EV launch, increased an additional $ 288 million.
Mary Barra from GM introduced a narrow little, national EV Mandate proposal.
Alta Motors closed their doors.
Bosch launched an electrical vandal service in Germany.
A FCA Factory in Italy "begins the preparation to produce the Jeep Renegade Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) scheduled for launch in early 2020."
EV Charging
ChargePoint introduced Also waiting list to let EV drivers come in line digitally to charge at charging drive.
ChargePoint & EVBox collaborate for roaming access in the EU and North America.
Star Charge China and German Company Hubject have announced a partnership they say will lead to the largest platform for open platforms in the world. Combined, the two companies will have more than 100,000 charging points available to customers in China, Europe and the United States. "
Hubject has also collaborated with ReCharge to enable EV charging at public charging stations without the need for RFID cards. [19659005] Google Maps updated its app to include an EV charging feature.
Phase 2 of Electrify Americas 4-Step Electrification Plan Started in California.
