Hasbro had "good growth" across several businesses in the first quarter and its gaming segment is becoming increasingly popular, says CNBC CEO Brian Goldner on Tuesday.

"We see some good progress in our international markets. Our European business has progressed, says CEO. "We expected to see a turnaround in international markets, and they were up … So overall, we felt we had made such progress that we wanted to make towards profitable growth in 2019."
Hasbro has also been focused on to build their digital platform to connect and engage with players. About 700 million games have been played at Magic: The Gathering Arena, a digital adaptation of the same name card game, Goldner said. The multiplayer card slot game was launched in the second half of 2018. "We are now in beta at Magic: The Gathering Arena and continue to increase in retention and engagement and revenue generation," he said. "We want to roll the Magic Arena around the world. You see a host of new events and esports initiatives and new digital initiatives."
