Waze will now tell you exactly how much that toll road will cost

Waas's latest update will give drivers more information on how much money they should expect to spend on tolls. While Waze has always known where the toll roads are and allow drivers to avoid them, the app will now list all the actual tariffs. The update, for both iOS and Android, will work in the US and Canada.

Google, as the owner of Waze, does not track the costs themselves; The users must report the prices in the app. However, the idea is clear to give drivers the opportunity to avoid tolls while helping them assess whether they have cash to pass through. This update follows an earlier this summer where Google placed Google Assistant and its wake-up call, "Hello Google," in the Waze Android app. All this is to say, Google is still aware of Waze and uploading it with new features, as opposed to giving Google Maps all the power.
