Video shows rodents jumping into the fryer at Whataburger

Eat your heart, pizza rat.
A Texas rodent was caught on camera jumping into a fryer on a Whataburger this weekend.
Facebook user Brushawn Lewis posted the footage on his Saturday saying, "This is not crazy."
"I'm on the whataburger in Bastrop Tx. It's a damn rat just out in the open! ”Lewis wrote in the caption. “But it was fried! SMDH. ”
Lewis & # 39; s video, which has been shared more than 60,000 times, first shows the tiny critic at a counter near the fryer, with Whataburger workers desperately trying to snatch him up – to no avail.
"This girl really arranges to try to catch this rat," says Lewis, moments before the rodent takes his fatal step.
"Oh, sir!" He screams. "It went in the fat!"
Customers can be heard screaming and freaking afterwards,
"I'll try to get it out," says one worker.
"When cooked, it will float to the top," jokes Lewis. "I've seen it all."
Whataburger officials responded to the video on their Facebook page, telling users that the site was closed and
"Thank you for bringing this to our attention," the fast food chain said. "At Whataburger, cleanliness and food safety are top priorities for us. In this case, we closed the restaurant with a plethora of caution and alerted pest control. Since then, the entire restaurant has been cleaned and disinfected, we addressed this situation as soon as possible and strengthened the procedures with family members, and although we continue to be very diligent, it is important to know that there was no history of this type of event at this time. device, and there is no ongoing problem.
