US renews audit inspection of Chinese firms listed in NY as Tensions Mount

US audit officials have begun a new round of inspections of New York-listed Chinese companies in recent weeks as tensions rise between the world’s two largest economies.
The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board sent a team to Hong Kong last month to review 2022 audit reports for some of the most high-profile Chinese stocks listed in the United States, according to people familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified and discussed private information.
