US Security Regulators investigate reports that side curtain air cushions can be inflated without cause on any Mazda CX-9 large SUVs.
Documents released Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, saying two owners have complained about the problem.
In both complainants, owners told the agency that the left and right airbags went off without cause while the SUVs moved.
The probe covers CX-9s from 2010 to 2013 model year. Mazda sold over 112,000 SUVs from 2010 to 2013.
The Security Agency says investigators will find out how often the problem occurs and determine security implications. The Agency may apply for revocation.
Mazda said in a statement that it is cooperating with NHTSA.
