Airlines in United Airlines were picked up and sent out diaries today at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport today as part of a full day.

The action taken by members of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO, took place from kl. 11.00 am to dinner in front of the United States check-in court.

The airline calls on the management to increase the crew and stop scheduled crew and service cuts. They also want the management to solve payroll problems and ensure that airline tickets have access to hotels in the event of severe weather and irregular operations.

Honolulu was only one of the 16 largest airports worldwide, including Hong Kong and Frankfurt to San Francisco, Chicago, Houston and Newark, where the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA carried out picking and brochures.

The work action is in response to United's announcement last month that it plans to cut an airline position from most international aircraft. [19659008] United did not respond immediately to a request for comment. However, the transporter has previously said that pre-plating meals for business travelers on the ground have made the cut possible.

United, flying to Hawaii for 70 years, added 11 new routes and 363,522 seats to neighboring islands between 2017 and 2018. With the increase in service, Uniteds Hawaii operations will hold around 11,985 aircraft with 2.63 million seats this year .

Kevin Batey, Kailua-based LEC president of United Airlines Council 14, said the decision means that there will be fewer crew members responding to emergencies on flights and boarding will be slower and customer service will slow down.

"It was the last straw," Batey said while attending the Honolulu action. "We hope United Airlines comes to their senses. Now it's not time to cut service. The company has taken some services and we want our company to succeed."

Batey said that the Honolulu work is the first since it local association and the company reached agreement on a new contract in September 2016. Eight month monthly information picketing prior ratification of the agreement, as Batey said, will expire in 2021.

"We will start negotiations again next year," he said. "If this problem is not resolved, we can see more informative picketing."

Ken Diaz, president of AFA's United Master Executive Council, said in a statement: "Instead of directing US airlines and separating United Airlines with superior security and increased customer service, the airline lowers its standards to follow US and participate. is not the way to say we love our passengers. "

" Catering on the ground is not a substitute for the first respondents in the sky, "said Diaz, representing 24,000 Flight Attendants of the 50,000 AFA members of 20 airlines including United.
