A debate from has attacked the UK's future relationship with the EU, little attention has been given to the nature of the entity that we should leave or remain in or to the future. Better late than never.

What we now call the EU has never stood still. It emerged from an innocent agreement to establish the Coal and Steel Community in 1952.
