Manchester City has offered the affected Thomas Cook staff free tickets to a Champions League group game they chose after the collapse of the tour group.
Earlier this month, Thomas Cook confirmed that all of their UK companies had ceased trading, meaning flights and holidays were canceled.
The company's closure also meant that 9,000 employees would be out of work. Manchester Airport will host a job fair on October 3 for the thousands of workers and supply chain workers affected.
Thomas Cook has had a long-standing relationship with City, sponsoring the club's shirt from 2003-2009. [1[ads1]9659002] Therefore, City offers affected employees two free tickets to any Champions League group, depending on availability.
Manchester City face Serie A side Atalanta at home on Tuesday, October 22 before taking on Shakhtar Donetsk at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, November 26.
According to the official Manchester City website:
"To claim free tickets, please visit the Etihad Stadium ticket office over the City Store, open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, except Thursday when we open from 10 a.m.
"Please note that Thomas Cook's employment certificate is required to require tickets."
