Tesla CEO Elon Musk offered to buy Twitter for $ 54.20 per share and take the social media company private.
Musk said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it is his “best and final offer,” and that if it was not accepted he’d have to reconsider his position as a shareholder.

Gold set for weekly gain
Gold was lower on Thursday, but prices were heading for a second consecutive weekly gain. The Ukraine crisis and broadening inflationary pressures lifted the metal’s appeal. US gold futures were at $ 1,987. The metal has gained about 1.7% so far in the week, according to Reuters. Markets will be closed for Good Friday.
Gas prices continue to slide
The average price for a gallon of gasoline in the US slipped on Thursday to $ 4,074, according to the latest numbers from AAA. The price on Wednesday was $ 4,083. The previous record high was $ 4.33, set on Friday March 11, 2022.
