President Trump's plan to nominate Herman Cain to the Federal Reserve Board may lead to rebellion against opponents – including from Republicans who are confused by the election of the eccentric businessman and political activist.
Last week, Trump said that Cain, the former chief executive of Godfather's Pizza, would be nominated for the board of the country's central bank.
"I have recommended Herman Cain," Trump told reporters in the White House. "An awesome man, an awesome person. He is a friend of mine."
This recommendation was not good enough for many Senate Republicans.
"I don't think Herman Cain will be on the Federal Reserve Board, no," Sen said. Mitt Romney, add that Trump's pressure to capture biased policies in the Federal Reserve was unwise.
"I feel we can't turn the Federal Reserve into a more biased entity," Romney said.
Cain, who runs a pro-trump super-PAC, dropped out of the 2012 Republican President primarily among charges of sexual harassment.

Trump has also pushed the potential nomination of conservative economist Stephen Moore to the Fed's regime of opposition from Democrats and questions about his economic philosophy.
Without specific naming of Cain or Moore, beds asked John Thune, RS.D., qualifications from some of Trump's nominees.
"I think it would be very good if you consult in advance and find out," Thune told Tuesday. "There are some names out there that cannot be verified and we will tell them if asked."
Most of Trump's great nominees have won the Senate Confirmation. Two – Andrew Puzder for Labor Secretary and Ronny Jackson as Head of Veterans Affairs – drew their names before a poll, in the face of widespread criticism.
Cain himself seems over-aware that his prospect of being confirmed to the Fed's board looks dim.
"Whether I do it through this process, time will tell. Would I be disappointed if I didn't do that through this process? No. Would I be excited and honored if I do that through this process? Yes, Cain said in a video posted on Facebook yesterday Friday
