In this week BuzzFeed announced that about 15 percent of its employees would be put off when the company is trying to achieve a sustainable growth model, while HuffPost interrupted about 20 journalists Wednesday
Trump's tweet came hours after it was reported that many of the kicked journalists had received death threats from coordinated internet trolls, which often posted anti-Semitic messages on the feed of Jewish journalists.
BuzzFed's news editor Ben Smith responded on Saturday tweet and called it a "disgusting" reaction to journalists who lost their jobs.

"1000 journalists lost their jobs last week. Ordinary people with pay to pay, families to support, student loan bills due, others who do not deserve this cruelty," she tweeted.
