Trump pressured Truth Social executives to hand over their shares to Melania, co-founder claims

Donald Trump pressured Truth Social executives to hand over their shares in their right-wing social media platform to former first lady Melania Trump, according to a whistleblower.

Will Wilkerson, one of the first employees of the Trump Media & Technology Group, claims that the former president called co-founder Andy Litinsky at a coffee shop in Florida and made the demand to him.

The Washington Post says Trump made the request, which was worth millions of dollars, despite already having 90 percent of the company’s stock.

Wilkerson says Litinsky refused, telling the former president that “the gift would have meant a huge tax bill he couldn̵[ads1]7;t pay.

‚ÄúTrump didn’t care. He said, ‘Do whatever you need to do.

Wilkerson filed a whistleblower complaint in August with the Securities and Exchange Commission, alleging securities violations involving the Trump Media and Digital World merger.

Litinsky, who first met Trump as an attendee at The apprentice The 2004 TV show was taken down five months after the alleged incident took place, and Willkerson told the paper it was payback.

Wilkerson and his attorney shared emails with Washington Post and the SEC where Litinsky allegedly told him that Trump was ‘retaliating against me’ and threatened to ‘blow up the company’ if his demands were not met.”

The mail says Wilkerson was fired from his job as senior vice president of operations at the company after he spoke to the newspaper.

Trump was forced to create his own social media network after he was banned from Facebook and Twitter in the wake of the January 6 uprising by his supporters.

The planned merger between Truth Social’s parent Trump Media & Technology Group and blank check company Digital World Acquisition Corp is currently under investigation by the SEC.

Trump’s following on the platform has grown to more than 4 million, but that is still well below the 86 million followers he had on Twitter before the ban in January 2021.
