PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Jermaine Massey, the registered guest who was thrown out of the DoubleTree Hotel in the Lloyd District while on the phone in the lobby, known as the Portland law firm and requires "a public statement response" from the hotel.
After Massey, who lives in Kent, Washington, had seen Travis Scott at the nearby Moda center, he returned to the hotel and was on the phone with his mother . He sat in the lobby of DoubleTree and talked to her. when a security guard "continued to question his presence," lawyer Jason Kafoury said in a statement.
Security guard continued and the hotel manager called the Portland police and "demanded that he be arrested for violation if he did not leave the room."
Massey, who is black, registered the meeting with a security guard named Earl on the phone and sent it to Instagram. In these posts he claims that he was rationally profiled.
Police arrived. Massey followed his directives, collected his assets and left the hotel. The police offered him a ride, "but Mr. Massey explained that he had his own car and wanted to drive himself, instead of leaving at the back of a police car," his lawyers said.
Through law firm Kafoury & McDougal, Massey wants DoubleTree to answer these questions:
Why was Mr. Massey approached by security? Why was he interrogated?
Please explain in detail how Mr. Massey was a security or safety threat.
"The hotel has requested a private discussion, but Mr. Massey was publicly humiliated," his lawyers said. "Therefore, he requires a public response."

22. December 2018, at noon. 23, was Jermaine Massey, "calling her mother while black," from a quiet corner of the lobby of the DoubleTree hotel in Portland, Oregon, when the hotel's security required to know if he was a guest.
