Tomi Lahren says patriotic clothing line & # 39; aims to be made in America & # 39;
Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren announced Friday that her "Freedom" leisure line is not made in the United States.
After the line was announced a week earlier, critics were quick to point out the range of sports bra, leggings and other garments offered in star-spangled and camouflage prints made in China.
Lahren wrote on Twitter along with a statement from Alexo Athletica CEO Amy Robbins that the brand that produces the line "aims to be made in America" and still "works against it" but "increased labor costs and increased regulations" pressed their production abroad.
"Like many American small business owners, Alexo aims to be made in America," Lahren wrote. "We're working towards it."
"Due to the increased labor costs and increased regulations faced by many US-based manufacturers, we were left with little choice but to produce overseas to start," the statement from Robbins states. "We work hard to bring production home to the United States and work with other hard-working companies that are proud of their integrity and quality."
Lahren announced the line with a defiant Instagram post claiming she had been told she was "too & # 39; controversial & # 39; to have a leisure line."
"Someone has told me I'm too" controversial "to have a leisure line, that conservatives should just stick to politics and Trump cheerleading," Lahren wrote. "My answer? Look at me. Introducing Freedom by Tomi Lahren of @alexoathletica full line available now."
The line appears to be tied to Lahren's conservative following, and is designed and manufactured in collaboration with Alexo Athleticwear, best known for making "hidden wear yoga pants" and other clothing designed to keep "a self-defense tool of choice, "which Lahren previously promoted.

An advertisement for the line shows that Lahren describes the feeling of "excluded" of leisure space and inspired to create the line for those who are "proud of being an American, proud of their freedom, proud of the country they live in."
Lahren adds that the pockets in the leggings are perfect for people who "believe in the Second Amendment," as they can use it for a gun, a phone, or other stuff because "it's about freedom."
