NEW YORK (Reuters) – The The US government filed a motion on Wednesday asking for the dismissal of a case by the Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, which claimed that the United States had acted illegally when it blacklisted Huawei's products.
Huawei sued the US government at the beginning of March in a complaint filed in the Texas federal court, saying that a law limiting its US business was constitutional.
The government's movement was filed in U.S. Pat. District Court of the Eastern District of Texas, the same court where the original complaint was filed.
Huawei did not immediately return a request for comment.
