The Carnival Miracle added to the quay in Tampa a day early, cutting passenger vacations due to Hurricane Dorian.

Cruise lines creep to stay off the path of Hurricane Dorian and navigate port closures, resulting in extended cruises for some travelers and deferred trips, itinerary and shortened trips for others.
Port of Miami, a major Florida cruise port, said Sunday the port is closed for the time being. Port Canaveral, a popular cruise stop 45 miles east of Orlando, closed late Saturday.
Further changes are possible given the unpredictable path of the storm, so travelers should check the cruise line's website regularly

Norwegian Cruise Line
Norwegian Breakaway : Passengers on the sailing August 25, scheduled to arrive on Sunday, will now return to Miami port on Wednesday, September 4 Travelers traveling on Sunday for a seven days long cruise, will now depart on Wednesday, September 4th for a four day long cruise.
Norwegian Sun: The sailing on August 29 canceled a stop in the Bahamas and is scheduled to leave Cozumel, Mexico on Sunday at 6 pm Eastern. The ship will probably return to Port Canaveral on Labor Day, but NCL said it is "considering alternative options."
The sun's planned September 2 departure from Port Canaveral sailing will also be affected, but details have not been released. [19659005] Details: ncl.com
Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival Liberty : September 2 sailing from Port Canaveral is canceled and guests will receive a refund.
Carnival Elation: The sail on September 2 from Port Canaveral has been delayed until Thursday September 6 and will be shortened. The ports of call will be determined by the weather.
Carnival Horizon : Sept. 2 sailings from Miami will be shortened to a three-day sail on Wednesday, September 4th.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line
The last cruise line update was late Saturday, with the next update due at 6pm Sunday.
Among a wide range of events announced Saturday:
Allure of the Seas : The sailing on August 24 has been extended to Wednesday, September 4, with additional stops in Honduras and Mexico. Sailing September 1st will be shortened and will be a four night cruise with departure September 4th.
Harmony of the Seas : The sailing of August 25 has been extended to September 4, with extra stops in Cozumel and extra nights at sea. Sailing September 1 will now depart September 4 and will be shortened.
Symphony of the Seas : The sailing on August 31 has been extended and is now scheduled to return on September 4. The cruise line skipped a Bahamas location and added two sea days and a stop in Costa Maya, Mexico. September 3 now leaves September 4, with the cruise line skipping a sea day.

Disney Dream: Sailing September 2 will be delayed until September 4 and shortened a two-night cruise. A planned stop on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, on Thursday depends on the weather.
