The entire staff at Bay Area Noah’s Bagels joined in the viral video

A video of all 16 employees at a Noah’s Bagels in Vacaville went viral after they stopped protesting, claiming that their former manager was wrongfully fired.

The user, former employee Beonc e Sarmiento, posted the video showing all 15 of her employees showing up at the store to quit at the same time. Sarmiento texted it: “Say no to toxic treatment.” Since it was released on January 15, the video has been viewed 3.5 million times on TikTok.

The place has also received a few sharp Yelp reviews.

According to KCRA, former manager Bre Kowalski said she was called last week and was told she would be suspended due to a customer complaint. However, Kowalski told KCRA that there was no such complaint. That was when she saw the last pay slip on her bank account, and found out that she should have been fired without knowing why.

“Nobody even said I was fired, they said I was suspended,” Kowalski told KCRA.

A few hours later, she was told that she was actually fired for another problem that happened while she was not working in the store, KCRA reported. Despite her contact, the management has reportedly still not given her an answer.

According to the group of former employees, the problems had already increased in their store, and Kowalski’s dismissal inspired the strike.

“I’ve never seen anything like it either, but it shows you how close our bond is and how close we are together, not just as a team, but as a family,” a former KTVU employee said. The store is still open after they went out.

The store is currently in operation and “very busy,” the new boss told SFGATE over the phone, refusing to immediately answer a set of questions.

Representatives of Noah’s Bagels’ corporate office did not respond to SFGATE at the time of publication.
