The Downtown Pittsburgh McDonald’s will close in April, the report said

It appears to be the end of an era for the downtown Pittsburgh food scene. The last remaining McDonald’s is to close its doors. The restaurant at the corner of Liberty Avenue and Stanwix Street is expected to close permanently in April. According to a report by the Post-Gazette, the owners said McDonald’s chose not to exercise two 5-year options they had to extend the lease. This would mean that McDonald’s would no longer have a presence in downtown Pittsburgh. The Golden Arches once had at least four locations in the Golden Triangle.
