After rising for four months, confidence in the economy of small business owners was reduced in June.
The Small Business Optimism Index had a June 103 reading, down 1.7 points from the previous month, according to the National Federation of Independent Business.
NFIB said the levels of uncertainty increased as expectations of sales gains and general business relationships failed.
The reported point of inflationary pressures possibly due to tariffs can cause some businesses to raise their sales prices.
Overall, six components of the index fell in June, three were improved and one was unchanged.
