Tesla on track to beat Q4 2018's record deliveries, claims leaked Elon Musk email

An email sent by Elon Musk to Tesla employees has begun to make the rounds online. Basically divided into a Chinese social media forum, the alleged Elon Musk e-mail suggested what could well be a record quarter for Tesla, with the electric car manufacturer possibly exceeding its impressive figures in Q4 2018, a period when the company handed over 90,000 vehicles to customers.
The leaked email suggests that model 3 production is at a stable 900 / day at today's rate, resulting in a speed of 6,300 vehicles per week. The message also noted that almost every part of the Model 3 production system had exceeded 1[ads1]000 units in several days, and opened the doors further to a production rate of 7000 units per week.

The following is the text of the leaked email sent by Elon Musk to Tesla employees.

Yesterday we had over 50,000 net new orders for this quarter. Based on current trends, we have a good chance of exceeding the record of 90,700 deliveries in Q4 last year, making it the highest deliveries / sales quarter in the Tesla history!
To achieve this, we need renewable production of 1,000 model 3 per day. Almost all parts of the Model 3 production system have exceeded 1000 units in several days (congratulations!), And we have an average value of 900 / day this week, so we are only about 10% from 7,000 / week.
If we gather hard, we can do it!
Thank you for your great work,
Elon

Tesla does not yet intend to comment on the authenticity of the messages, even though the tone of the letter and the style of the e-mail correspond fairly well to Musk's writing style. Several commentators in the original Xueqiu post also claimed to have confirmed e-mail authenticity with Tesla employees in China. As mentioned by Tesla Motors Club member KarenRei, other aspects of the leaked message, including the MS Outlook web client being used, became the red "EM" on the sender field and the email address addressed to "All," Matches other internal messages that have previously been leaked. (Update: u / RecordSlayer, member of r / TeslaMotors subreddit and a Tesla employee, noted that he received the same message.)
I would be wise to take the information in this Delicious email with salt grains. Nevertheless, the scenario presented in the message is not too long, as Tesla has already achieved over 90,000 deliveries earlier. Improved by the over 10,000 vehicles in transit at the end of Q1 2019, achieving these numbers should be quite feasible for the electric car manufacturer.
The Tesla share has taken a serious blow in recent weeks in a perfect storm involving several bearish rates from Wall St analysts, the ongoing US and China commercial war, a general decline in the automotive industry as seen in the number of other car manufacturers that such as BMW and Jaguar Land Rover, and the demand for the company's lower than expected production and delivery figures in the first quarter. There is little doubt that the Tesla story has become predominantly negative recently, but if the company can exceed expectations in the second quarter, there is a good chance that the automaker may still see a recovery in the near future.
