Tesla sent its employees Thursday to alert them to leaking business information , especially to the press.
The email, which was leaked to the press, apparently puts Tesla and its employees against "outsiders" and those who want to "do something to see us fail."
"As a result of our success, we will continue to see an interest from people who want to do something to see us fail," reads the Tesla email. "This includes people who are actively seeking proprietary information for their own profits, targeting Tesla employees via personal networks or on social networks such as LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter ."
Previously, information leaks have not led to the finest press for Tesla, including exposure to product problems and tough business relationships. The e-mail information is almost half a dozen examples of the latest confidential violations and the actions Tesla accepted the employees.
"Tesla will take action against those who exclude proprietary business information or violate the non-disclosing obligations that we all agree on," it continues. "This includes termination of employment, compensation claims and even criminal charges."
It continues to reproach employee confidentiality agreements and to provide resources to those who "can benefit from training or a more complete understanding of how to protect our intellectual property and confidential business information."
