Tesla Autopilot begins to make way changes (video)

The Tesla community recently received a new upgrade to the Autopilot driver assist system, with vehicles that are now capable of warning drivers if they are to resolve a red light. Tesla owners have also noticed that Autopilot seems to be learning to give way to other cars that change lanes on the highway.

Observations from the community and a video divided by model 3 owns a private book of r / TeslaMotors subreddit depicts the electric sedan's Autopilot system that lowers the vehicle even before the second car merges into the Tesla track. Strangely, the merged vehicle was marked with a darker gray tone in model 3 center view, suggesting that Autopilot reacted specifically to the car.

It should be noted that the vehicle in the video is not even equipped with Tesla's latest software. The model 3 owner discovered that the vehicle was equipped with 201[ads1]9.5.15, a version of Tesla's software that was rolled out about two weeks ago. Tesla has just launched 2019.8.3 to some members of its fleet recently, and the update included a few new tricks by itself. Nevertheless, the observations of the Model 3 owner give the impression that Tesla is actively improving its Autopilot capabilities.

Among the tricks included in the latest 2019.8.3 update, is called "Autosteer Stop Light Warning", designed to help drivers find out whether to run a red light. The Tesla Feature Release Notes are as follows: "Your car may in some cases warn you if it detects that you are going to run red while Autosteer is in use. This is not a substitute for an attentive driver and will not stop the car." tweet in December of December is an indication, Autopilot's ability to detect stop signs and roundabouts can follow soon.

This improvement is likely to be useful for many Tesla owners, especially since the company has listed Stop Light Warning under the Autosteer features. Autosteer, formerly part of Enhanced Autopilot, is now being sold by Tesla as part of the Basic Autopilot, which the company sells for $ 3,000 ($ 4,000 after delivery). With Stop Light Warnings included in basic Autopilot, Tesla is anything but ensuring that most customers will benefit from the security feature of the future.

Tesla definitely looks to ramp up its efforts in developing its Full Self-Driving package and improving the Autopilot driver assistance system this year. Just recently, Elon Musk announced that no verification Navigate on Autopilot and Enhanced Summon has started rolling out to the first batch of electric car owners. Storage codes also indicate that Tesla seems to be supplying some of its vehicles with hardware 3, a custom-built solution developed by Tesla specifically designed to launch Full Self-Driving capabilities.
