A decision by the city council to carry the Chik file A from opening a restaurant at San Antonio International Airport draws criticism from Sen. Ted Cruz.

The plan involves Paradies Lagardère to bring eight suppliers to Terminal A at the airport, including Smoke Shack, Local coffee and Sip Brew Bar and Market, and find a substitute for Chik File A.
"The heart of the LGBTQ community is in District 1, and that community has come together to vote its disapproval of this proposal because it includes a company with a legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior, says Treviño.
In a statement on Saturday, Chik-fil-A said that the press release issued by the council member "was the first one we heard about his movement and its approval" by the Council.
"We want us to have the opportunity to clarify misunderstandings about our company before the poll. We agree with Councilmember that everyone should feel welcome on Chick File A," the firm said. Antonio to our 32 local stores for over 40 years. "
