Target says cash registers back online after two hours of outbreak
Cash registers at the Target stores were back on Saturday after being down for two hours, creating long lines in the cash counter for the last minute Father's Day shoppers.
The company owes "an internal technology problem" to outbreaks.
"Target's registry is back on the net, and guests can buy their goods again in all stores," says Jenna Reck, reseller communications director, in a statement on Saturday afternoon
The problem did not imply a security breach, and No guest information was compromised, Reck said.
Some customers sent social media accounts of long lines before the issue was resolved. Cashiers could not scan items or process transactions in any stores.
Reports of long lines and registers crash the troubled placements in Washington; Exton, Pennsylvania, Mays Landing, New Jersey; and Waxahachie, Texas.
Target quickly recognized the issues on Twitter and says: "We are aware of a system problem in the store and work as fast as possible to get this resolved. "
