Take-out conversation leads to unexpected friendship as restaurant employee helps cancer patient
A woman who ordered dinner from a Virginia restaurant got an unexpected friend in the process. Buffie Hipps wanted their favorite enchiladas from a Mexican restaurant in Chesapeake, Virginia. According to WTKR, this should be her first real meal since she has been undergoing thyroid cancer. "I said 'By the way, do you think you can possibly distinguish queso because I do radiotherapy and my husband can't be around me," she explained on the phone to the restaurant.
