Take a look at these Veterans Day deals on Amazon Prime, battlefield tours, plus free food and more

If you work at it, you might not have to pay for any of your meals on Veterans Day, with all the freebies being offered. Use our list to map your routes to your offers, before and after the parade.

You will also find deals in some of your favorite stores, and stores offering everything from cigars to cleaning products. You can get $ 40 off a year's membership to Amazon Prime. And why not include any travel and entertainment discounts? There is a freebie with a motor coach which can mean a bus ticket home around the holidays, if you are in the right place. And it is a discount for a new tour of the battlefields of World War II and World War II.

Veterans Day is not just about the offers, but these offers are just a way businesses and organizations show that they are grateful for the service of military and veterans. Some companies offer discounts year-round; We have included some of these as well.

The discounts come in different sizes and may have different exceptions. We maintain an ongoing list and will update it over the next few days, so check back for offers from restaurants, hotels, retailers and other businesses. If we are missing someone, send Senior Report to Karen Jowers at kjowers@militarytimes.com.

If you do not see a favorite spot on the list, ask them if they offer a military discount. They can offer it, but may not have a sign in the store. Just remember that no one requires anyone to offer a discount or deal, (except military stores and ticket and tour offices.)

Please note that the free meal may be offered to you, but not to your other family members. It is entirely up to the business owner, but it helps you know it in advance, so you will be prepared to pay before you go into a business with family members.

Check out our "Before You Go" section at the bottom of this article to save yourself some headaches.
