LENEXA, Kan. – Williams Foods LLC recalls some of its taco spice products for salmonella contamination.
According to the FDA, the company reminds two different taco spice products:
- 1-ounce Great Value Mild Taco spice mix, with a product number 564829444. 2021 and 07/09/2021.
- 1,25-ounce package HEB Taco Spice mixture reduced sodium, with a product number 050215. The product's UPC is 0 41220 79609 0, with the best in date 07/10/2021, 07/11/2021 and 07/15/2021 .
No other "Best By" dates will be revoked.
The company says that these spices contain a cumin spice that was involved in a salmonella recall issued by Mincing Spice Co.
The product is sold in selected grocery stores across the country, including stores located in Ohio.
The company remembers the products from an abundance of cauti on and says it has not been reported disease.
Consumers who bought these spices are encouraged to return them to the point of purchase for a refund.
