NEW YORK – Taco Bell restaurants in some states, including Michigan, are asking customers to try chicken or beef on their burritos after quality considerations pushed it to temporarily stop serving spicy beef.
The company said on Saturday that it asked the affected restaurants to stop serving spicy beef when it replenishes supplies. The company says the beef did not meet its quality standards. Affected locations are in Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio and elsewhere, although the company could not immediately say how many stores no longer serve spicy beef.
Customers complained on Twitter for not being able to saturate their appetite at night. In a statement, the company apologized for any inconvenience.
