T-Mobile TV partners with Viacom for a new TV service
Today, T-Mobile and Viacom announced an agreement to bring Viacom channels to the new T-Mobile TV that will start later this year.
"Viacom represents the best of the best, most popular brands on cable, so they are a great partner for us!" Said John Legere, CEO of T-Mobile. "TV programming has never been better, but consumers are tired of rising costs, hidden fees, miserable customer service, non-stop BS. And Macgyvering together a lot of subscriptions, apps and dongles is not much better. That's why T-Mobile is on assignment to give consumers a better way to see what they want when they want to. "
" We are thrilled to join T-Mobile on a new entertainment service that represents an important development in how the audience uses our content, Bob says. Bakish, Viacom President and CEO. "Today's milestone announcement marks an important step forward in our strategy to accelerate the presence of our brands on mobile and other next-generation platforms. We're so excited to work with T-Mobile to give millions of subscribers access to our networks and more choices in a new service that will be different from everyone else in the market. "
Details are still very thin on the new T-Mobile TV, but this is the first major content partner to sign up for the new service. [19659004] Did you know we have a YouTube channel? Every week we have a live Cord Cutting Q&A, and weekly Cord Cutting Review exclusively on our YouTube channel!
