T-Mobile One rebrands as "Magenta," support costs for free Netflix on old plans
T-Mobile rebranding its services plans from T-Mobile ONE to Magenta. As of June 2, those who sign up for a new ground plan will receive a mobile hotspot boost, while existing customers must endure major shifts to the Netflix on Us program. The self-proclaimed "Un-carrier" also tries to roll up switches on the new plan by letting them carry over what discounts they have.
The basic Magenta plan is very like T-Mobile ONE: For individuals, $ 70 per month should be on autopay for unlimited voice communication, text and LTE speed data plus free international subtitles and 2G data – in Canada and Mexico roaming 5 GB LTE data and talk time as well. Streaming video is limited to 480p resolution, and total throughput can be lubricated after 50GB usage for one month. Other benefits include a free hour of Wi-Fi at home flights with Gogo service and competitions opportunities and gifts from T-Mobile Tuesdays.
A positive change with Magenta is that it offers 3GB mobile hotspot through LTE as well as unlimited 3G speed tethering already on the T-Mobile ONE. But here are the things that are difficult: T-Mobile still offers Netflix to us for all its T-Mobile ONE and Magenta planners with at least two lines, but have decided to make adjustments in line with the price increases of the movie stream service made in January.
Magenta customers will only be able to access a free Netflix Basic plan, which allows for SD quality streams on a screen at a time – conditions that are not ideal, consider the toll lines requirements. T-Mobile ONE customers have the ability to switch to Magenta for the free basic plan, opt out of Netflix on us, or from July 5 pay extra $ 2 per month to keep their Netflix Standard subscription at the same time streaming on two Monitors with up to HD resolution.
The company will start selling Magenta plans from June 2. The $ 15 per month ONE Plus supplement, which increases the roaming speed and the LTE Mobile Hotspot cache among other benefits, will still exist as Magenta Plus.
The company uses the opportunity to withdraw AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon subscribers by offering those who fit their corporate, affiliate, military or senior rate plan discounts. Switchers can bring their last bill and get up to $ 15 off a line with Magenta, or up to $ 30 for two or more lines – T-Mobile will round up to the next $ 5 increment. This limited-time offer also starts on June 2.
Finally, the operator offers a $ 300 discount over 24 months with a receipt on a Galaxy S10e, S10 or S10 + purchase for any customer trading in a qualified phone (see terms here). Customers can also get up to $ 900 of another S10 series unit with the purchase of a second line, again, through bill credits.
