Suspect wanted in connection with SEPTA gunpoint robberies taken into custody

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – A suspect wanted in connection with three gunpoint robberies at SEPTA stations in Center City was taken into custody on Sunday night, according to officials.

A spokesperson for SEPTA confirmed the arrest, but it’s still unclear what charges the suspect is facing.

Police say all of the robberies happened on Saturday.

The first incident happened around 2 pm when authorities say a person was robbed at gunpoint in the concourse connecting City Hall and 15th Street Stations.
Around 9 pm, police say a similar robbery happened at 30th Street Station on the Market-Frankford Line.

Also on Saturday night, police say two people were held at gunpoint and forced to withdraw money from an ATM at the 30th Street Market-Frankford Line Station.

No injuries were reported in these robberies.

Police say two other males who were with the wanted suspect have also been taken into custody.
