Stop & Shop, UFCW now provisional three-year agreement | News
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB / WSHM) – As the 11th day of the strike finally, Stop & Shop and UFCW have decided to come to a preliminary agreement.
The deal will affect more than 31,000 represents in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
The preliminary agreement is a three-year contract that includes increased pay for all employees, ongoing benefit-based pensions for all eligible employees, and continued health coverage for qualified employees.
Stop & Shop spokesman, Jennifer Brogan has announced that at the moment the top priority will be rebuilding shelves and back to take care of their customers and communities affected by this strike.
