Stock Market News: Dow Jones Rally led by Goldman
Financial shares made the heavy lifting of the stock market on Wednesday, and helped raise Dow Jones to a 0.6% gain in afternoon trading. In stock market news, profit reports dominated Goldman Sachs (GS), Bank of America (BAC) and United Airlines (UAL) headlines. Meanwhile, a great fintech deal made headlines. FISV (FISV) announced plans to buy the company for more than $ 20 billion.
S & P 500 and the Nasdaq composite were up about 0.3% each. The Russell 2000 Small Capital Index performed mainly in line with Dow Jones, but the growth stock is typically set as Innovator IBD 50 ETF (FFTY) eased 0.2%. IBD 50 Name CyberAr k (CYBR) and Atlassian (TEAM) delayed by losses of more than 1% each. The results from Atlassian take place on Thursday after the trip. Stock Market News: Movers & Shakers
Goldman Sachs exceeded the 50-day moving average by 8%. But the shares are still in a downtrend, about 30% of the high. Bank of America was up 7%. It's in better shape than Goldman, only 14% of the high, but the 200-day moving average of around 29 is a potential resistance level to see.
On the stock market today, United Airlines also sharply entered revenues, but it is still below the 50-day moving average, a potential resistance level to see.
The airline with the healthiest map at this time is Spirit Airlines (SAVE). It has recently found support on the 50-day line after a breakout. It works on a second floor with a 65.45 entry.
