Southwest Airlines, which has just managed to fly to the islands on Wednesday, has begun promoting Hawaii California service on its website.
The ads say that specific routes are not available for purchase, but that the company intends to offer Hawaii nonstop service from Oakland, San Diego, San Jose and Sacramento.
Southwest says that passengers coming from California will reach Honolulu, Kahului, Kona and Lihue. The airline said it also intends to offer inter-country service.
The Dallas-based airline received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration on Wednesday to begin flying to Hawaii. Southwest officials said Wednesday that it would publish its schedule in the coming days.
Southwest chairman and CEO Gary Kelly said in January that the carrier could start flying a month after receiving his certification and initial sales.
The airline is expected to start service with low initial prices, which other carriers will likely match, according to airline analysts
