Southwest Airlines flying rolls off the runway at California airport
According to reports, the aircraft started its emergency stop system when it rolled off the track.

A Southwest Airlines plane flying into Burbank, California, from Oakland rolled off the track during landing on Thursday morning.

According to reports, the aircraft started its emergency stop system when it rolled off the track at Bob Hope Airport, also known as the Hollywood Burbank Airport. There were 117 people aboard.
FAA confirmed the incident on Twitter, saying the plane was going to rest in the Engineered Material Arresting System, a bed to quickly stop flying at the end of the runway.

Southwest Airlines said in a statement to Fox News that no reported damage had been reported.
"Initial reports indicate that Southwest Airlines 278 flights from Oakland to Burbank came to a stop at the end of a lane on arrival at Burbank. There are no reports of injuries among our 112 customers and five crew members.

The Hollywood Burbank Airport remains open. Runway 8/26 was closed after the incident, told the airport Fox News.
