Southwest Airlines flights collide at Nashville Airport asphalt
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two Southwest Airlines aircraft have collided on the asphalt in Nashville International Airport.
The airline's officials say that no injuries were reported in the Saturday night. An email confirmation from Southwest Airlines spokeswoman Michelle Agnew says that the vineyards of St. Louis-bound Southwest Flight 1555 "got in touch" during the pushback with Winglet of Southwest Flight 4580, on their way to Atlanta.
A photograph provided by a passenger aboard the plane to Atlanta showed the rainy weather and what seemed to be the top of the other plane's fine cut off.
The airline states that both aircraft returned to the gate "under their own power" and were taken out of service for consideration. The Southwest aircraft will continue to the planned destinations using new aircraft.
An airport spokeswoman addressed inquiries to the southwest.
