Some package delivery delayed as Amazon and Duke Realty continues to assess injury from fatal tornado
As Amazon and stockholder Duke Realty continues to assess the damage from a deadly tornado that hit Baltimore on Friday, the online store said delivery of packages bound to addresses across the Middle Atlantic is delayed.
The tornado blew off a part of the roof of what Amazon calls its Baltimore center, near the eastern border of Dundalk. It caused an 8-inch concrete wall to collapse and killed two workers.
"Due to the damage caused by the storm, deliveries associated with this package sorting delay delays," said Amazon in a statement. "We regret the inconvenience of our customers and work quickly to resolve."
