Snickers failed to change the date for Halloween, but it still delivers on its promise to give away free candy.

Go to OneMillionSnickers.com to sign up for a gift card that's good for a bag of Snickers Fun Size bars worth $ 3.90, available until October 31st or as long as the items last. Giveaway times will vary.

Snickers supported the Halloween & Costume Association's Change.org petition to move Halloween to the last Saturday in October by pledging 1 million free bars of fun sizes if the federal government officially declared a Saturday Halloween.

petition, also backed by Party City, has more than 150,000 signatures, but after the movement met some resistance it evolved into an additional party day – National Trick or Treat Day.

"We promised a million SNICKERS, and whatever date, we will deliver," said Josh Olken, the candy's brand director, in a news release. "Whether the fans like their free SNICKERS or hand them out to trick or treaters, we want everyone to have a satisfying Halloween."

According to the terms of the promotion, more than 55,500 gift cards will be issued at different times. A message saying "we need to refill our bowl" will appear when supplies run out for the day.

There is a limit of one gift card per working mobile number.
