Severe weather creates travel nightmares to Boston Logan Airport
Travelers on their way to or from Boston’s Logan International Airport on Thursday spent considerable time either waiting for a flight for a street or waiting inside the airport terminal for their delayed flight to depart. Video from Sky 5 showed dozens of planes parked on Logan Airport taxiways, waiting for a gate for their arriving planes to park. The Federal Aviation Administration placed Boston in what is known as a traffic control program for arriving aircraft and delayed departures for more than an hour due to thunderstorms over parts of the northeast.
