Several Shopko stores in Montana are expected to close in the coming months, including the Great Falls site.
Last month, Shopko stated that it had filed voluntary petitions for a court-based financial restructuring under Chapter 1
The company seeks to facilitate the restructuring as a result of excess debt and ongoing competitive pressure, according to a press release.
Today, there are several Montana stores to be closed, including in Great Falls, Plentywood, Sidney, Wolf Point, Dillon, Hardin, Whitefish and Roundup.
Estimated operating day for the Great Falls store is May 5. Plentywoods Shopko is set to close on March 2 while Sidney's store is scheduled to close May 12. Shopko in Wolf Point's last operating day is estimated to be April 7.
