Several schools closed, delayed Tuesday due to frigid temps

Freezing temperatures have led to more school closures and delays over southern New England.

Newport Public Schools will be closed Tuesday due to a warming problem, affecting more than 7,000 National Grid customers on Aquidneck Island.

Other districts, including North Smithfield and Foster-Gloucester, will also be closed.

Burrillville and Johnston are delayed one hour, but there won't be morning preschool.
