Several restaurants in the Syracuse area Friendly is approaching suddenly

Friendly restaurants in DeWitt, Syracuse and Clay suddenly stopped today.

Workers at Friendly's restaurant at 3275 Erie Blvd. East in DeWitt said they are not sure why they close. They are in the middle of closing the store this morning, employees said.

Along with Friendly's restaurant in DeWitt, friendly at 3701 James S. Syracuse and on the Great Northern Mall were all closed at 6 today, workers said.

The friend's restaurant in Cortland and at 3873 Route 31 remains open.

Friend's corporate officials could not be reached for comments.

In 201[ads1]3, Friendly's Restaurant in Fayetteville was closed, along with one in the Bayberry. At all, Friendly, eight of their restaurants in central New York closed at that time.

When Friendly emerged from bankruptcy protection in 2012, it had 254 restaurants, but closed 100 as part of that process.
