SCOTUS rejects arguments that Kavanaugh did as an appeal court judge – talking point memo

WASHINGTON (AP) – The Supreme Court rejects arguments from Justice Minister Brett Kavanaugh when he was an appeal judge in a case involving securities fraud.
The court's 6-2 government on Wednesday confirms an appeal decision against investment banker Francis Lorenzo over false and misleading statements Lorenzo emailed to potential investors in a company. The emails described the company as having $ 10 million assets when Lorenzo knew the real figure was $ 400,000.
Kavanaugh waited for the appellant's decision.
Justice Stephen Breyer's majority perspective rejected Lorenzo's argument that he did not violate anti-fraud and securities committee rules because he only sent the emails in the direction of his boss who gave it the message content.
