Saudi Aramco in agreement with Chinese partners to build the refinery
Saudi Aramco and its Chinese partners will begin building a huge refining and petrochemical complex in the Asian nation, accelerating a development stalled during the pandemic.
Aramco agreed to start construction of the complex in Liaoning province with North Huajin Chemical and Panjin Xincheng, CEO Amin Nasser said at the China Development Forum in Beijing on Sunday. In a separate statement, the Saudi company said that development will begin in the second quarter and that the project is expected to be fully operational by 2026.
